Pedro Almeida is a Senior Scientist (oceanographer) at CoLAB +ATLANTIC (Portugal), where he leads initiatives on coastal hazards, digital innovation, and climate resilience. With a background in coastal processes, remote sensing, and numerical modelling, his work bridges science and decision-making to support local and regional adaptation to climate change. Pedro is one of the contributors to Atlantic SENSE, a geospatial platform developed by +ATLANTIC that integrates solutions across the atmosphere, land, ocean, and coastal zones. His work focuses on the coastal layer, where he develops applications to monitor and manage risks in coastal and estuarine environments and to support informed coastal management.
