Dr. Tanja Kraus is a senior scientist at the German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD) of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and serves as scientific advisor to DFD’s director. She holds a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing from the University of Erlangen. Her research focuses on forest-related Earth observation and climate change adaptation. Since 2024, she has been coordinating the EO4CAM project, supporting Bavarian authorities with EO-based information for climate adaptation. She is particularly interested in the interface between remote sensing science and environmental policy.
